Ingredients

  • 4 Atlantic salmon fillets (never sockeye)

  • 1 tsp of orange zest

  • Juice of 1 orange 🍊

  • 1 tsp of ginger paste

  • 1 tblsp of soy sauce

  • 1 tblsp of butter

  • 2 tblsp of brown sugar

  • 1 tsp of garlic powder

  • 3-4 scallions (green onions) chopped for garnish

Directions
Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

Mix the butter, orange juice, soy sauce, orange zest, ginger, and sugar in a sauce pot and bring to a boil. Lower the temp and let it simmer at level 2.
Line a baking sheet with foil. Drizzle olive oil on the foil. Pat salmon dry with paper towels. Salt and pepper each fillet. Sprinkle the garlic powder across the flesh of salmon.
Place the fillets on top of the baking sheet. Drizzle some glaze on top of each fillet. Leave some glaze on reserve for the salmon post baked. Bake the fillet for 20 minutes. When you pull out the salmon, drizzle the remaining glaze on the cooked fillets. Sprinkle some of the chopped green onions on top of the finished salmon and enjoy :)
