Mama G’s White Wine Chicken in the Crockpot

Last night I recreated my mom’s chicken. We used to call it upside down chicken because she would roast a whole chicken in the oven upside down. I only like chicken breast though and wanted to recreate the same delicious taste and sauce her chicken had. I think I achieved it so here it goes! Let me know if you try it! It’s a healthy way to make a lot of food and everyone will enjoy.

Mom’s White Wine Crockpot Chicken

Ingredients

  • 3 TBLSP of Dijon or ground mustard

  • 2 TBLSP of honey

  • 1/3 cup of Ken’s Greek vinaigrette

  • 1 TBLSP of garlic paste

  • 1/4 cup of Honey Ginger vinaigrette

  • 1/4 Sliced onion rings

  • Juice of 1 lemon 🍋

  • 1/2 cup of white wine

  • 1/2 stick of melted butter 🧈

  • 8 frozen chicken breasts (+ 1 tsp of salt)

Directions
In a crock pot toss in all (except the chicken, the butter and wine) the ingredients in the crock pot and mix. Turn on the crockpot on HI. Add the chicken. Set timer for 6 hours and 30 min. Half way through cooking, add the wine and butter.

I don’t shred the chicken until I serve it and then on the plate, I shred it and add the delicious white wine sauce to it with a ladle. Serve on top of steamed rice and enjoy with asparagus or Brussels!
