Crispy Air Fried Garlic Parm Chicken Wings

These wings are the best and still remain to be the best I’ve EVER HAD - and that’s saying a lot. Trust me. There are 3 KEY techniques to making excellent wings: 1) Brine them! 2) Baking Powder is your secret ingredient 3) Air Fry them!

Ingredients

  • 2.5 lbs of party chicken wings

    Brine:

  • 1 tblsp of lemon or lime juice

  • 1/2 can of light beer

  • 1 tsp of salt

  • 1 tsp of black pepper

  • 1/2 tblsp of garlic powder

  • 1/2 tblsp of Grill Mates Montreal chicken seasoning

    **Sauce ingredients and recipe below**

    Directions

Place wings in a Tupperware or deep mixing bowl. Toss the wings in this mixture, cover and put in fridge for 3-8 hours.

    **After brined**

Take wings out with tongs and place on a cutting board or large plate. Pat wings dry with paper towel (no need to rinse them). Once dry throw in 1 tblsp of baking powder and toss them.

Arrange wings in ONE even layer in your frying basket. Spray wings generously with olive oil spray. PAM makes a spray bottle with olive oil in it that’s great for this. Now air fry them 370 degrees for 15 minutes. Then flip them with tongs and spray again with the olive oil, stick back in for 10 minutes at 370 degrees.
    While wings cook...make the
    Garlic Parmesan Wing sauce
    2 tblsp of chopped parsley
    4 cloves of garlic
    2 tablsp of salted butter
    1 tsp of garlic powder
1 tblsp of grated Parmesan cheese
If you have it, only if you have it, you could add fresh Parmesan cheese too. (Looks pretty).

    Directions

Melt the butter in a small pan at high heat, add the garlic and parsley and bring down heat. Warm up the garlic until it literally smells like garlic bread is cooking in your house. Turn off heat and cool. When wings come out crispy, take out a bowl for mixing these guys. Add wings in bowl and then take half of the garlic sauce and toss the fried wings in it. Then serve immediately. Repeat process for second batch, and just add the remaining garlic sauce to the second batch when done air frying :) for buffalo sauce, melt 2 tblsp of butter in a pan with franks red hot or your favorite buffalo sauce and coat the wings. You can also do bbq sauce. The butter not only gives it an amazing flavor but thins out these thick sauces so they get into all the nooks and crannies of the wings!
